Rosie’s Trust Launches Brand New Look

Rosie’s Trust, the only charity in Northern Ireland that cares for people by caring for their pets, celebrates its tenth anniversary together with staff, volunteers, celebrity ambassadors – and a brand new look.

Thanks to 200+ dedicated volunteers, Rosie’s Trust provides free-of-charge services that help  those undergoing cancer treatment, receiving end of life care, and older people with mobility issues to keep their pets by their side in the most challenging times.

Established in 2015 by founder and nurse, Bronagh O’Neill, the charity is celebrating its support of 251 people and 313 pets over the past decade.

To recognise the special occasion, the organisation has unveiled a new brand at the start of this year’s Volunteers’ Week. Designed to generate increased public awareness and funds to support the charity’s life-changing work, Rosie’s Trust staff, volunteers, and celebrity ambassadors, Q Radio presenter, Ibe Sesay, and Derry Girls writer and producer, Lisa McGee, came together with beneficiary, Gino Rossi, at the launch.

On the anniversary and updated branding for the charity, Rosie’s Trust Chair, Aileen Martin, said:

“We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers, staff and supporters who have grown and nurtured Rosie’s Trust over the past decade and made a real difference in the lives of people and their pets by doing so.

“This is a pivotal moment in the 10 years of Rosie’s Trust as we look to build on this history and continue to grow the support services that we offer in Northern Ireland.

“By investing in a new brand, we will increase awareness of our charity which in turn will help to generate more income, partnerships and support, as the public and our stakeholders connect emotionally with the work and values of Rosie’s Trust.

“The future does indeed look rosy for Rosie’s Trust in the years to come.”

Celebrity ambassador, Ibe Sesay and Lisa McGee, showed their continuing support for Rosie’s Trust at the unveiling event. Q Radio presenter, Ibe Sesay, said:

“It makes complete sense to launch into the next 10 years of caring for people by caring for their pets during Volunteers’ Week. Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do as a charity, and the work of Rosie’s Trust would not be possible without them. They provide a vital check-in service for vulnerable people living alone and much-needed social contact.”

Writer and producer of Channel 4’s hit, Derry Girls, Lisa McGee, added:

“As we look forward to an exciting time of growth and change for Rosie’s Trust, I really would encourage anyone who can donate, volunteer, or would like to partner with our charity, to come forward. By spreading the word, we really can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people and their pets in Northern Ireland.”

Gino Rossi, who is currently receiving support from Rosie’s Trust as he undergoes cancer treatment, said:

“When I was invited to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Rosie’s Trust, I just knew I had to attend. I can’t say enough about how much the charity has supported me, my family and my dogs – and it’s great to know that it will continue to help others who find themselves in similar challenging circumstances.”
