Local employers will have the opportunity to benefit from specialist legal and tax advice thanks to a series of new, free to attend events hosted by solicitors Millar McCall Wylie and advisory firm BDO Northern Ireland.
The two firms have partnered to launch a series of seminars aimed at supporting employers across a range of legal and tax issues.
‘Incentivise and Thrive’ will kick off on 14th November with a breakfast event at Custom House Belfast at 830am. The session, titled ‘Mastering Mobility,’ will focus specifically on legal and tax issues facing employers who have staff that work from home, work in a different jurisdiction or move between the north and south of Ireland on a regular basis.
David Mitchell said: “Remaining on the right side of the law and being tax compliant are of course crucial aspects for any employer. Millar McCall Wylie and BDO make a strong collaboration because our combined expertise means we can advise employers in all areas of employment law, tax and accounting.
“We hope these events will give employers a chance to ask questions, learn the latest updates, policies and procedures and, importantly, speak to us about getting bespoke guidance around their company requirements. We hope to see a great turnout from local employers on 14th November and welcome guests from all sectors, sizes and scale of organisation.”
Jane Lee, BDO Northern Ireland added: “Both BDO and Millar McCall Wylie share a pragmatic approach to advising clients in our areas of expertise. In other words, we want to provide clients not only with information but also practical steps, guidance and ongoing support as to how to implement the advice we give them. In the case of our first event topic, that could mean helping employers get on top of tax reporting and compliance across different tax and legal jurisdictions, developing new Employee Policies to support workers that fall into more complex scenarios while ensuring Employers remain protected legally . Our event on 14th November should appeal to a broad range of employers and we look forward to getting the series underway.”
