Award-Winning Irish Food Brand Builín Blasta Launches In Tesco Stores Across Northern Ireland

Award-winning Irish food brand Builín Blasta has officially launched its range of premium condiments in Tesco stores across Northern Ireland, marking a major milestone in the brand’s continued growth across the UK market.

Best known for its signature Smoked Onion Mayo, Builín Blasta has grown from a chef-led café kitchen on the west coast of Ireland into a nationally recognised retail and food service brand. The Tesco NI listing brings its bold, flavour-led condiments to shoppers across the region for the first time, building on existing relationships with a number of independent Northern Ireland retailers including Indie Fude, Sawers and Belmont Larder.

Builín Blasta’s products are defined by their distinctive slow-smoked onion flavour, created using a proprietary smoking process that delivers a deep, rich taste. The Tesco NI range includes the brand’s Smoked Onion Mayo alongside its Spicy Smoked Onion Mayo and Light Smoked Onion Mayo variants. The range has been widely recognised for quality and innovation, winning multiple Blas na hÉireann awards as well as Great Taste Awards in recent years. The business is also a finalist in the Small Firms Association Small Business Awards, Food and Drink category, for the second year in a row.

The Northern Ireland launch comes as shoppers increasingly seek out premium, flavour-forward food products, with Builín Blasta positioned as a category disruptor offering something genuinely different on shelf.

Heather Connolly, Founder and Managing Director of Builín Blasta, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to see Builín Blasta launch in Tesco stores across Northern Ireland. This is a really exciting step for us as a brand and a market we’ve wanted to be in for some time. Our products were born out of a love of good food and bold flavour, and it’s fantastic to now be able to share them with NI shoppers. While this marks an important milestone, we remain hugely proud of the independent retailers who have supported us along the way, and those relationships continue to be a vital part of our business.”

Builín Blasta continues to operate as a café, bakery and food business while expanding its retail footprint across Ireland and the UK, staying true to its roots in hospitality, quality ingredients and authentic Irish flavour.

The Builín Blasta range, including Smoked Onion Mayo, Spicy Smoked Onion Mayo and Light Smoked Onion Mayo, is now available in selected Tesco stores across Northern Ireland.
