Two Dublin Airport hotels have been sold to MHL Hotel Collection.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel (4 star) and Holiday Inn Express Dublin Airport (3 star) have been acquired by the company, a leading hotel group formed in 2013 by partners John Malone, Paul Higgins, and John Lally. This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone for the MHL Collection, adding the 15th and 16th hotels to their Irish portfolio.
“These two hotels enjoy a prime position in the heart of Dublin Airport, yet also sit in a tranquil parkland setting. The much-anticipated lifting of the 32 million annual passenger cap at Dublin Airport which is so crucial for Ireland’s economic growth, tourism, and international connectivity make this an excellent time to deploy capital into the Dublin Airport market,” says Paul Collins, Head of Hotels at agents CBRE.
Paul Higgins of The MHL Hotel Collection said: “We are very pleased to have signed an agreement with Tifco to acquire these two hotels. They allow MHL Hotel Collection to participate in the Dublin Airport hotel market where we have not had a presence to date. This is our most significant transaction for ten years, and shows our continued commitment to the Irish hotel market. We look forward to welcoming the staff of the two hotels into the MHL family, and to working with their existing and new customers.”
