Taylor Wessing Appoints New Employment Partner

Taylor Wessing has strengthened its Dublin office with the appointment of Lynda Nyhan, who will lead the firm’s Irish employment practice. Lynda, an accomplished employment specialist, joins from ICON plc, where she was the lead employment counsel for EMEA and APAC. Her deep expertise in Ireland and in other key markets will be a powerful asset for domestic and multi-national clients.  The hire underscores the firm’s ongoing commitment to being a leading legal adviser in the Irish market.

This appointment directly addresses increasing client demand for premium employment law support and aligns with Taylor Wessing’s ambitious international growth strategy. Lynda has extensive experience across a wide range of employment advisory areas with particular experience in M&A and restructuring transactions, high-value disputes, and complex dismissal cases. As lead employment counsel in respect of 30 countries in EMEA and APAC, Lynda has worked on multiple cross-border matters.

Adam Griffiths, partner and head of our Dublin office, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Lynda to the team. Her arrival and the launch of our Irish employment practice are key parts of our strategy to provide comprehensive support for our clients. I know Lynda will do an excellent job leading our new employment offering and further enhancing our reputation in Ireland and internationally, as we continue to deliver first-class service.”

Speaking on her move, Lynda Nyhan said:

“It’s an exciting time to be joining Taylor Wessing, especially with the opportunity to spearhead the development of a new employment practice in Dublin. The firm’s strong cross-border collaboration creates a fantastic opportunity to develop our international employment platform. I’m looking forward to getting started and working with my new colleagues to grow the practice.”

Shane Gleghorn, UK Managing Partner and Global Co-chair, added:
“We are delighted to see Lynda join as we continue to invest in our strategic growth in Ireland. Lynda’s hire in Dublin responds directly to the demand from our clients for Irish employment law advice and compliments our leading Pan-European employment team.
