Musgrave, Ireland’s leading food retail, wholesale, and foodservice company, has announced its membership of the 30% Club, a global campaign dedicated to advancing gender balance in leadership.
Musgrave’s membership aligns with its inclusion and diversity goals, which include increasing female participation in leadership and senior management to 40% by end of 2025. Currently, female participation stands at 35% across its leadership and senior management teams.
The move reinforces the company’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace that mirrors the communities it serves and create an environment that enables people to grow, thrive and realise their desired potential.
With a presence in over 20 countries and a robust network of Irish member organisations, the 30% Club collaborates with CEOs, Board Chairs, policymakers, investors, and educators to support gender balance across society. By joining this network, Musgrave gains access to best practices, development programmes, mentoring and industry insights aimed at creating a more inclusive culture, where diverse perspectives are valued.
Noel Keeley, CEO, Musgrave, said: “Joining the 30% Club marks a significant milestone in our journey toward greater inclusion at Musgrave. An inclusive culture that reflects the communities we serve is essential to delivering long-term value not only for our customers and partners but society more widely. Significant progress has been made in recent years, however, as leaders, as an industry and at a societal level we can all do more to drive participation. We look forward to learning from and contributing to the 30% Club as we work toward a balanced and innovative leadership structure.”
Gillian Harford, Country Executive 30% Club, said “We are delighted to welcome Musgrave as our newest campaign supporter, and to benefit from their continued commitment to gender progress. The addition of Musgrave to our supporter base further strengthens the breadth of diversity impact across Irish employers, where food and foodservice play such a pivotal role in the Irish economy”.
To achieve these goals, Musgrave has implemented a range of I&D initiatives, including inclusive recruitment practices, new policies, mentorship programmes and Employee Resource Groups. Additionally, Andrew Keating, Musgrave’s Chief Financial Officer, will represent the company as a Council Member in the 30% Club, actively supporting its objectives and fostering progress within the organisation.
As a 30% Club member, Musgrave is committed to adopting and promoting best practices that enhance its reputation as a progressive and responsible employer. Benefits of the 30% Club membership include enhanced employee engagement, consumer trust, and access to cross-company mentoring, scholarships, and industry-specific networking events.
Musgrave’s membership of the 30% Club underscores its belief that inclusion and diversity drives better business outcomes, contributing to innovation, resilience, and growth.
