We missed it last year because we had to nip off for a visit to Portugal, but we’ll be back for our annual trip to the Balmoral Show at the end of this week.
As always, our trip will be courtesy of our good friends of the Henderson Group, and we don’t just make the trip to get one of those red cowboy hats that they hand out with the SPAR brand emblazoned on them. Nope, it’s Henderson’s annual Supplier Breakfast.
That means that they gather together the local firms who supply their eggs, bacon, sausages, breads, apple juice, tea and coffee and someone rustles up a hearty breakfast somewhere at the back of the giant marquee. What’s not to like?
And, of course, May being May, the weather is traditionally very good. This week looks set to be no exception. If there are two events held around these parts that traditionally get the decent weather, it’s the North West 200 and the Balmoral Show. It’s happened again this time around.
We’ll have a look at a few tractors while we’re there, maybe even watch a spot of showjumping. It’s a lovely way to spend a morning.
