Belfast’s leading IT Company, CMI helped bring the world renowned Lyric Theatre back to life as part of a multi-million pound project which saw the newly refurbished and extended venue open its doors to the public earlier this year.
Following a three year project, the landmark building, not only showcases the design and construction talent in Northern Ireland but also harnesses the latest in technology.
As part of the project, CMI designed and implemented a new IT infrastructure, installed a comprehensive wireless system - including a unique ticketing system for public wireless internet access which has the ability to display advertising on the back of every ticket printed, supplied new servers, equipment and supported a number of other areas in the Theatre including telephone, building control and advertising systems which are all part of the advanced computer network.
Speaking on the success of the project, Ken Roulston, CMI, Joint Managing Director says:
“We are delighted to have worked with The Lyric Theatre on this exciting project and look forward to continuing our work by providing first class IT support. The project demonstrated how technology was able to help the theatre from a commercial perspective and keep them ahead in what is a very competitive market.”
Ciaran McCauley, Chief Executive, Lyric Theatre said:
“We appointed CMI as our IT partner due to their strong track record in infrastructure design and installation. Throughout the project they demonstrated a high level of technical skill and a real understanding of our business needs.
The Lyric relied on many partners when faced with the challenge of opening the new building on schedule, and we would thoroughly recommend CMI to any organisation facing a similar situation.”
Established in 2009, CMI employs 25 staff at their new headquarters at Heron Road in the Belfast Harbour Estate. They provide IT solutions including Network & Data Security, Managed IT Support, Virtualisation, Infrastructure and Cloud Computing Services to over 200 private and voluntary sector businesses throughout Northern Ireland.
