TotalMobile, have been highly commended for 2011 Mobile IT Innovation of the Year at the UK IT Awards last week. The Charted Institute of IT, BCS held the ceremony at Battersea Park Events Arena; TotalMobile representatives including CEO Colin Reid attended to accept the Medal.
Mobile IT Innovation of the Year recognises organisations who provide leading-edge mobile technologies that create new ways of working and have shown measurable success and customer satisfaction. TotalMobile provides a Mobile Working solution that gives users the freedom to work efficiently and effectively in the field by allowing access to and the ability to update back office information systems on their mobile device. The solution demonstrably improves customer service and staff motivation. Customers such as Aberdeen City Council have experienced cost savings of up to £1.5m per year.
Upon receiving the Medal, Colin Reid stated “We’re so pleased to be commended for this award. At TotalMobile, we strive to be innovative in everything we do and it’s great to get recognition for that. There is a growing appreciation that for organisations to increase efficiency and productivity in the future they must look at Mobile Working Technology. We have developed a mobile solution that is unique in that it provides out of the box, native applications on a variety of platforms that satisfy requirements of any remote worker and allow them, and their organisation, to realise a range of benefits.”
This was the first year that Mobile IT Innovation category was introduced to the awards. TotalMobile were up against competition from Tesco, National Air Traffic Service and Pizza Express and were just pipped to the post by Royal Bank of Scotland. Colin concluded “This has been a proud week for TotalMobile, we moved in into our new corporate headquarters Belfast on Monday and we are delighted to receive this commendation. It really confirms for us that our efforts in innovation and product development are keeping us at the forefront of Mobile technology.”
