Andrew Lynas, Managing Director of Lynas Foodservice said: “We are delighted to open our seventh Lynas Food Outlet on the Boucher Road in Belfast offering customers a unique proposition with a fantastic choice of chilled, frozen and grocery products, as well as quality cuts of meat from our own craft butchery, Causeway Prime.
“In a nod to our founder, Bobby Lynas who started the company in 1945 when he opened a small fishmongers shop in Coleraine, we have also introduced Bobby’s Good To Go for people on the move with fresh sandwiches, baked goods, including artisan breads and pastries, tea and coffee.”
“We have enjoyed rapid growth over the last number of years as part of our continued investment programme which has included the launch of Lynas Scotland, the acquisition of a 10-acre site in Coleraine, a 10-acre site and warehouse in Lusk, Co Dublin and a company rebrand. 2019 is set to be another busy year as we have plans for continued expansion across Ireland and Scotland,” Andrew continued.
Lynas Foodservice is a third-generation family owned business that has been supplying food to customers throughout Ireland for over 70 years. The company employs over 500 staff and distributes over 6,000 grocery, chilled, frozen and non-food products. There are now seven Lynas Food Outlets across Northern Ireland in Belfast, Ballymena, Bangor, Coleraine, Derry-Londonderry and Newry.
