Hastings Hotels has launched a new marketing campaign to celebrate the reawakening of the tourism and hospitality industry and some of Northern Ireland’s best loved landmarks take centre stage.   The ‘Have a Giant Stay’ campaign includes TV and radio adverts across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as well as digital and social activity and begins with the dawning of a new day with guests waking up to enjoy the views across the group’s seven hotels before showcasing some of the incredible places to visit and things to do here.

Northern Ireland’s leading collection of hotels commissioned 18-year-old Irish singer-songwriter, Zena Donnelly, to write and perform the soundtrack for the campaign. Zena previously starred in Cinemagic’s feature film ‘A Christmas Star’ and has enjoyed a number of high profile performances including a solo at the Queen’s Jubilee Royal Gala Performance, made it to the last 12 on Pixie Lott’s team in ‘The Voice Kids’ and shared the stage with Whitney Houston in Dublin’s 3 Arena in 2010 at the tender age of seven where she sang ‘The Greatest Love of All’ alongside her idol.

Some of the stunning locations featured in the campaign are Co Down and the breath-taking Mourne Mountains, the most dramatic coastal walk in Europe – the Gobbins, Mussenden Temple, horse riding on a beach in Carnlough, sightseeing in the Walled City with the famous Derry Girls Walking Tour as well as the action-packed activities for thrill seekers including mountain biking in the Sperrins, cliff jumping on the Antrim Coast and surfing, kayaking and paddle boarding on the scenic Causeway Coastal Route.

Julie Hastings, Marketing Director of Hastings Hotels said: “We wanted to create something really special to mark the reawakening of Northern Ireland’s tourism and hospitality industry and we really believe we have achieved this through our ‘Have a Giant Stay’ campaign. The ad starts really quietly with guests waking from a lovely night’s sleep at our seven hotels and leads into a lovely upbeat tempo showcasing lots of the fabulous places to see and things to do across Northern Ireland before relaxing in the evening after an action-packed day.

To complement this, we commissioned the fabulous, young Irish singer-songwriter, Zena Donnelly, to really help tell the story and she wrote the most beautiful, vibrant song that encapsulates the campaign perfectly. We want people to see how much there is waiting for them across Northern Ireland. We’re encouraging people, both locals and those visiting from further afield, to open their eyes to a world of surprise and really enjoy and appreciate the stunning sights and attractions on offer in this beautiful part of the world.”

“Our local tourism and hospitality industry has had a busy summer after what has been a very difficult year and we really want to keep the momentum going throughout the autumn and winter.  We hope that people will enjoy what they see on offer through our new campaign and book a visit to Northern Ireland with Hastings Hotels in the months ahead.”
