Chef Fraser Cunningham from the AA five star Fitzwilliam Hotel has won the People’s Choice award at this year’s Master*Chef competition which aims to unearth and showcase the local talent of young people choosing a career in hospitality. Fraser proved he could take the heat as he and three other finalists battled it out for the highly prestigious award at The Balmoral Hotel in front of 200 guests and a panel of high profile judges.


Fraser was chosen as the winner of the ‘People’s Vote’, which was decided by the huge number of food lovers, critics and suppliers in attendance. And his winning dish? A pan roast duck breast accompanied by a confit duck bonbon, beetroot quinoa and pickled blackberries.
