The Belfast office of DWF has made 15 new appointments and one senior promotion in the last 12 months as the global legal business significantly strengthens its specialist teams.   The investment by DWF, which was recently ranked by the Financial Times as the 8th most innovative law firm in Europe, includes a number of high calibre appointments and a promotion to further consolidate its expertise across key business sectors.

Alison Reid has joined the business as director in the Banking and Finance team while David McNeice, a construction lawyer, has recently been promoted to director.

Andrew Lightburn has joined the Employment team as a senior associate while four further associates and nine solicitors have also joined the company to bolster the Insurance, Real Estate, Construction, Litigation and Recoveries teams.

The new resource takes DWF’s total workforce in Belfast to 90 and reflects growing demand for its specialist services and sectoral expertise.

Ken Rutherford, executive partner of DWF’s Belfast office said:

“This has been a year of substantial growth for the Belfast office in terms of attracting new colleagues, and also promoting those from within who have helped to drive our business forward. Having such a strong team in place with expertise across all of our key sectors allows us to achieve our purpose of transforming legal services through our people for our clients.”
