Centra continues to bring enhanced convenience to customers across Northern Ireland with new stores opening at Donegall Square East in Belfast and Curr Road in Beragh while a significant refurbishment has taken place at Centra Islandbawn.  The three stores represent an investment of £2 million by the leading NI retailer, creating an employment boost of over 50 jobs.

Commenting on Centra’s continued expansion, Nigel Maxwell Sales Director Centra Northern Ireland said: “At Centra, our focus is on redefining convenience – providing our shoppers with a healthier offering and innovative ranges, particularly in food-to go and our Frank and Honest coffee brand.  Our shoppers expect fresh, nutritious, inspiring and delicious food that is quick, easy and value for money.  These stores are the latest examples of Centra providing just that and responding to the changing needs of the busy consumer.”

Centra Donegall Square East is the first Centra store for retailer Michael Quinn adding to his four MACE stores located within Belfast at High Street, Castle Street, Royal Avenue and Malone Road.  Offering customers a new and modern experience, the store boasts Frank and Honest coffee, a hot and cold deli alongside Centra’s Green Kitchen, a salad concept designed for the consumer looking for a healthier option.  Self-service tills provide busy city shoppers with added convenience while a comfortable seating area allows the opportunity to take a moment to relax.

Centra Curr Road, Beragh is the first store for retailer Naomi Curry and is situated between Omagh and Ballygawley.  The store features a hot and cold deli as well as Frank and Honest coffee, an off-licence and a whipped ice-cream parlour.  A comfortable seating area, customer toilets and complimentary WiFi provide great facilities for those travelling this busy commuter route.

Centra Islandbawn, operated by local retailers Gerard, Cahal and Michael Boyd, has undergone significant refurbishment over the past year.  Customers can enjoy the range of food on offer including a hot and cold deli, Burrito bar, hot carvery alongside Frank and Honest coffee, a new instore bakery and Moo’d icecream.  A post office and off-licence provide added convenience and a one-stop shop for all the essentials.

Speaking about the new developments, Nigel Maxwell continued: “We are delighted to see these stores coming on stream and the hard work by our teams coming to fruition.  The stores are all trading well, reporting strong sales in their first few weeks and I wish the retailers and their teams every success.”
