BatchBuddy, a new drinks industry concept based in Belfast, which aims to make premium cocktail-making more accessible, has launched a virtual Christmas party offering. Festive party seekers can choose a BatchBuddy bottle from a range of 7 classic cocktails including the Espresso martini, Bramble and the Pornstar Martini priced at £25 per cocktail batching bottle.

For those that don’t have time to pick up their own ingredients BatchBuddy offers the option of premium drinks packages containing the alcohol products required for each cocktail. As you might expect BatchBudddy products are delivered directly to the customer’s door.

BatchBuddy offers a 10% discount on their batching bottles for party hosts to invite their friends to get their own BatchBuddy bottles. Then just connect via Zoom or an alternative platform to host a Virtual Xmas party with a difference. The guys at BatchBuddy recommend festive party themes including a Xmas quiz, fancy dress or Karaoke in their virtual party guide hosted on their website.

BatchBuddy was founded by NI hospitality veterans, John Ferguson and Damian Cole, who combined have over 35 years’ experience in the industry having worked many well-known venues around the city and further afield.

The concept focuses on cocktail batching – a technique used by expert mixologists in which large quantities of ingredients are mixed at once, enabling single serves of that cocktail to be served repeatedly at a later stage.

Each batching bottle is emblazoned with an accurate fill line for each ingredient required for that cocktail. Simply fill each ingredient to those lines and let the fool proof recipe do the rest. The simple technique allows cocktail fans, regardless of experience, to create perfect cocktails in record time without the hassle of complicated recipes or expensive equipment.

Co-founder of BatchBuddy, John Ferguson, said, “I’ve spent over 15 years in the hospitality industry from collecting glasses right up to being a venue owner and I could never have imagined that the industry would have to shut their doors so close to the 2020 Christmas busy period.

“BatchBuddy aims to bring people together and take the hassle out of hosting a virtual cocktail party. We believe this is the perfect time for cocktail lovers to try cocktail batching and to try it combined with festive virtual parties, might just save a Christmas party or two.”
